One of our missions partners, the International Justice Mission (IJM), champions freedom and justice for the poor and oppressed around the world. IJM works with governments and local law enforcement to change the culture in countries where they work, to enforce anti-slavery laws that already exist and provide justice and protection for their citizens.

Whether it’s fighting land-grabbing of widows, cyber-sex trafficking, or forced labor, IJM is making a difference around the world, and bringing God’s plan for justice to millions.

CCoF is sponsoring a Freedom Fast in support of IJM’s efforts, on July 5 and 6, and we encourage you to join us! Kick off the fast Thursday, July 5, 6:30-8pm in the Junction, during our regular 1st Thursday prayer night, as we focus on and pray for the work of IJM.

What are the expectations of the Freedom Fast? Go without food for 24 hours, pray 24 times within that period, and give $24 to IJM to help their freedom-fighting efforts.

Friday evening we’ll break the fast with a potluck and worship celebration (6:00pm in the Multi-purpose room of the Office Building).

This is something YOU can do to help end slavery in our lifetime! Check out IJM’s video below (just ignore the dates in the video, and make plans to join us July 5 & 6).
